Back and Neck Assistance Programme (BNAP)

Targeted support to help you move better, live better, without surgery.

If you’ve been struggling with back or neck pain for more than three months, you’re not alone – and you don’t have to just “live with it”. Profmed offers eligible members access to the Back and Neck Assistance Programme (BNAP), developed by Workability, to help you manage pain, restore movement and get back to daily life with confidence.

When back or neck pain takes over your life, there is another option.

What is BNAP?

BNAP is a structured rehabilitation programme, not once-off treatment. You’ll work with:

  • Specially trained physiotherapists
  • Occupational therapists (if needed)
  • Your GP, where appropriate

Together, they support you through a personalised plan focused on:

  • Reducing pain
  • Improving function
  • Helping you manage your condition long-term

Who is BNAP for?

You may qualify if:

  • You’ve had back or neck pain on most days for more than 3 months
  • Pain affects your ability to work or perform daily activities
  • You’ve already sought medical care for the condition

Eligibility and pre-authorisation apply.

Why committing to the full programme matters

BNAP works best when completed from start to finish. By staying committed, members typically experience:

  • Reduced pain levels
  • Better movement and strength
  • Improved confidence in daily activities
  • Lower risk of future interventions or surgery

Members who complete the programme are also better supported in managing flare-ups and avoiding unnecessary hospital visits later.
