YOUR PRIVACY IS ASSURED
Due to the sensitive nature of GBV, we are committed to ensuring that any assistance you access through this benefit remains strictly confidential between you and WHISPA. To ensure this confidentiality, claims for the first four counselling consultations will be processed anonymously and will not reflect on any claims advices or benefit summaries on the Profmed system, including the online login portal and the App.
Accessing additional services
Any additional services required over and above the benefit provided will be processed through the normal channels on the system and will therefore be visible to the member and any beneficiaries who have access to benefit information on the system or on email. To maintain the confidentiality for the affected beneficiary, it is advisable that the additional services be funded out-of-pocket. Please discuss this with your psychologist or counsellor to find an appropriate solution.
Telephonic counselling sessions are provided at no cost. The number of sessions will be determined by the case manager.
Each beneficiary has access to four face-to-face consults per incident. Thereafter, benefits will be paid from the available day-to-day benefit. Please refer to the section “Accessing additional services” for alternative solutions should you not wish the additional services to reflect on the membership profile.
Beneficiaries have access to half an hour telephonic consultation with a lawyer at no cost. Should you require additional consultations, these costs will be for your personal account.
This benefit is available to members and their dependants, i.e spouse/ partner, children and adult dependants on all options, but is only available within South Africa.
