Profmed Partners
International SOS
International SOS provides emergency medical assistance to Profmed members who reside in South Africa while they are travelling internationally, as well as members who reside in the SADC Region when travelling outside of the borders of their country of residence.

LifeSense
Lifesense is Profmed’s designated service provider for the Trauma, and HIV Assistance Programme. LifeSense is also the Scheme’s designed service provider for our WHISPA programme which provides support for victims of Gender Based Violence.

MediKredit is Profmed’s pharmacy benefit manager. They manage the acute and chronic medication benefits and benefits in terms of the PMB conditions. Chronic medication and conditions are authorised by MediKredit.

PPS Healthcare Administrators (Pty) Ltd (PPSHA) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of PPS. They provide administration services to Profmed, including claims processing, contribution management, pre-authorisation and call centre services.

The Professional Provident Society (PPS) is a financial services company and is the parent company of Profmed’s Administrator, PPSHA. PPS focuses exclusively on graduate professionals, and provides synergistic opportunities in the interests of Profmed members.
