The AMPLIFIRE health booster benefit has been tailored to empower members to take specific actions according to your individual health needs, offering enhanced support for out-of-hospital care. The benefit provides additional out-of-hospital benefits when your day-to-day benefits have been exhausted.
What is the relevant qualifying criteria to unlocking Amplifire?
Beneficiaries are required to:
- Download and be active users the Profmed App;
- Conduct a Digital Health Assessment via Profmed WellBeing;
- If required, complete a physical health assessment;
- Complete all individual relevant Preventative Care benefits (see Section 2);
- Where a beneficiary is registered on a Chronic Treatment Care plan, they are required to fully comply with the plan, to unlock benefits
I am registered on the ProSelect Savvy option, will I qualify for Amplifire?
Yes, the benefit is available across all benefit options.
Is the Amplifire benefit available to all beneficiaries?
The benefit is available to the principal member and beneficiaries who pay adult dependant contributions.
How much do I have to pay for Amplifire?
There is no additional cost for the benefit.
Will my 2024 claims be paid from the Amplifire benefit?
No, the Amplifire benefit will only take effect on 1 January 2025.
Will my Amplifire benefits be allocated annually?
Benefits for Amplifire are allocated every 24 months.
Will the Amplifire benefits be carried over to the next year as it is a 24-month benefit?
Any remaining benefits will be carried over to the following year.
Will a member be required to do a HIV test as part of the required preventative care screenings to qualify for Amplifire?
No, members are only required to complete the specified preventative care screenings.
What benefits will be paid from Amplifire?
GP and Specialist consultations, conservative dentistry and consultations for supplementary services: Audiometrists, Biokineticists, Chiropractors, Dieticians, Occupational therapists, Speech therapists, Physiotherapists and Podiatrists.
How will members be able to track their progress towards unlocking their Amplifire benefits?
Members can contact client services on 0860 679 200 to track the progress on unlocking Amplifire.
Is the Amplifire benefit of R2 500 available per beneficiary, or per family?
The R2 500 benefit is allocated per beneficiary.
Will the R2 500 cover consultations in full?
Claims will be covered up to the Scheme rate.
Should I be required to do a physical health assessment, where will it be funded from?
The claim will be covered by the benefits associated with the member’s chosen benefit option.
Why must I wait 6 months before completing my second digital health assessment?
A follow-up screening after 6 months helps to evaluate the effectiveness of you personalised lifestyle recommendations, promotes healthy habits, and supports preventive care.
Will I be forced to do a physical health assessment?
The physical health assessment is not mandatory.
How many digital health assessments do I need to complete to unlock Amplifire?
Only one digital health assessment is required.
